I'll have to say that if G-Anime 2012 wasn't the worst for me, it unfortunately wasn't the best either (cosplay talking here).

The convention was move at the end of my exam week, which is a good thing since I could work on my cosplay as soon as I got back home. However, I under-estimated the charge of work to do and couldn't finish it all on time. I was missing a belt and the wig looked like crap ( ). I'm pretty proud of my coat though.

Je dois dire que si G-Anime 2012 n'était pas la pire convention pour moi, elle n'était malheureusement pas la meilleure non plus (en terme de cosplay)

Les dates de la convention ont été changées pour être à la fin de ma semaine d'examen, ce qui est une bonne chose puisque j'ai pu travailler sur mon cosplay dès que je suis revenue chez moi, mais j'ai sous-estimé ma charge de travail et je n'ai pu compléter à temps. Je n'avais pas ma ceinture et ma perruque était affreuse ( ) Mais je suis fière du manteau de mon personnage.

Comments about the con itself/Commentaires sur la convention elle-même:

I've been a volunteer this year. It's the third of four years that I've been one and I have to say that the volunteering of this year was WAY better organized that the last years. I helped put up the convention and clean up afterwards and was assigned to small jobs during the con. When I went to Cape & Kimono in Quebec, I was assigned to one job and was never relieved from it, which means I missed the whole convention (I'm never going back there).

J'ai été bénévole cette année, pour la troisième fois en quatre ans. J'ai trouvé que cette année, le bénévolat était BEAUCOUP mieux organisé que les années précédentes. J'ai aidé à installer la convention vendredi et à ramasser dimanche soir. Aussi, on m'a assigné à diverses petites tâches durant la convention, contrairement à Cape & Kimono
à Québec, où on m'a assigné à une seule tâche durant toute la convention et je n'ai jamais été remplacée. J'ai ratté toute la convention et j'ai décidé de ne jamais y retourner.

Cosplayers:

Great quality cosplay for everyone. Even though I didn't take pictures of everyone, I was really impressed by the quality and the perfectionism in a lot of cosplays. Also, I was quite impressed because I didn't see many Bleach or Naruto cosplays this year (don't get me wrong: I like bleach and I have nothing against Naruto, but I am one who likes variety) and I saw a lot of characters I didn't know. I'll try and catch up for Otakuthon this year.

Tout le monde a fait des cosplay d'une grande qualité. Même si je n'ai pas pris des photos de tout le monde, j'était impressionnée par le travail accompli de chacun d'eux. J'ai aussi été impressionnée par la variété de personnages. Il y avait beaucoup moins de Naruto ou de Bleach (je n'ai rien contre Naruto et j'aime Bleach, mais j'aime voir de nouveaux personnages) et j'ai vu beaucoup de personnages que je ne connaissais pas. Je vais me rattraper pour Otakuthon cette année.

Panels/Ateliers

I practically never got to any panels during a con. I mostly watch the animes, but this time, I attended one panel: THERE WAS A PANEL ABOUT KYO KARA MAOH!!! I never though I'd live to see it happen. Unfortunately, there wasn't many people and I ended up talking one on one with one of the panelist, but it was great none the less. To bad I have no idea how to find her, but if she reads this: I WANT TO SEE YOUR GWENDAL COSPLAY!!!! XD

Je ne vais presque jamais à aucun atelier dans une convention. D'habitude, je me contente de regarder les animes projettés, mais cette fois, je suis allée à un atelier: SUR KYO KARA MAOH!!! Je n'aurais jamais cru vivre pour voir ça. Malheureusement, il n'y avait pas beaucoup de gens et je me suis retrouvée à parler seule avec l'une des présentatrices, mais j'ai tout de même adorée et si elle lit ça: JE VEUX VOIR TON COSPLAY DE GWENDAL!!! XD.
